Interview | Sho'Nuff of Dredknox

How would you compare your flow to the typical Southern MC?
A lot of the songs you hear me doing, I don't necessarily come up with a dance in that song. Ya know, I'm not like 'Bow your knees'... I'm not doing nothin' like that, but I have a little bit of everything. It's the lyrics... they say Southern cats ain't got lyrics; I got that. I can come up with a dance, but it ain't about that. I'm pretty well rounded, lyrically.

How do you feel about cussing in raps?
Well, the whole reason behind not cussing in raps; I think that's coming back in Hip-Hop. At one time there was no cussing in raps. And you know, just like in the bible where Solomon says there is nothing new under the sun, it's just coming back full-circle. And as far as me, I don't see a need to cuss to get my point across. Maybe some dude does but it's just not me.

Straight out the Midwest, Dredknox represents the next movement in music. Combining sharp lyricism with hot production provided by the Beat Council, Dredknox provides relevant music with a message.
